The conservatoire is making significant investment in our Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) provision. TEL is an integral part of learning and teaching development and has a small, committed, enthusiastic and supportive team. The TEL team needs a developer to be responsible for the back-end maintenance and development of TEL platforms, including the conservatoire’s Moodle VLE. Working in partnership with the front-end developer, the postholder will develop technologies to support the delivery of the curriculum.
The postholder will bring experience of programming with PHP (object oriented), database development skills (MySQL/SQL) complex systems integration and configuring webservers. The ability to communicate complex technical issues and concepts to a variety of audiences is essential, and other key attributes are organisation, time management, analytical skills and initiative.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and enthusiastic team, developing innovative technologies to support the delivery of the curriculum and the enhancement of the student experience.
This post is suitable for flexible working and for some remote working practices.
