This is a full-time, reduced year contract: 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year.
This role includes a £2,400 market supplement per annum, full details about this will be provided to the successful candidate at offer stage.
Leeds Conservatoire is seeking to engage the services of an experienced live events professional to join the Events Production Team as Events Production Manager to manage the delivery of productions in the School of Drama, to support academic programme of Actor/ Actor Musician and Musical Theatre Students and events in the wider conservatoire.
The role will involve the front-line management of freelance production staff and actively ensuring all performances and workshops occurring in internal and external performance spaces are supported in the most time efficient manner. Managing the delivery of production elements including Set construction, Lighting, Sound and Costume ensuring compliance with legislation.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience of producing theatre from a technical background. After the successful launch of the Conservatoire’s Actor/ Actor Musician and Musical theatre degrees. The Production Manager will lead on Year 3 student shows throughout the year ensuring good communication between production teams, creatives and host venues. Knowledge of current production practices and Health and Safety will be required to ensure our high standard of delivery.
