Leeds Conservatoire is looking for an innovative and independent Help Manager to develop and co-ordinate a central point where students can access help and advice of all kinds. The Help Manager will also play an important role in ensuring that our students are self-sufficient in finding information or support that they require themselves.  
 
The role is for someone who is educated to degree level and who has significant experience in working directly with customers, alongside writing guides to accessing services. As well as actively working on the Help service, you will be responsible for developing it to offer a broad range of assistance, as well as an effective triage system. You will work alongside members of the team, engaging them in the development of the service too, and you’ll liaise with students in a variety of formats and via multiple channels, adapting quickly to emerging communication technologies. You will have the skills to respond swiftly and effectively to crises, delivering clear, concise and reassuring information at the right time.
 
Your communications skills will be finely tuned, with an ability to adapt and refine your approach based on feedback. You’ll have gained a great deal of experience developing relationships with a range of customers, and you’ll be confident engaging with colleagues from across the organisation. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously, improving and developing the service, whilst also keeping up with routine responses to students.  
 
While a background in music or performing arts is not necessary for this role, you must have a positive attitude to the arts and empathy with those working towards a career in music or the theatre.
