The conservatoire wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, proactive and engaging individual to be our Outreach Officer, supporting our work as part of Go Higher West Yorkshire - our local consortia for the Office for Students Uni Connect Programme
The role involves working with colleagues from within Leeds Conservatoire and across the Go Higher West Yorkshire partnership to ensure the successful delivery of the Uni Connect programme. This will include planning and managing impartial events and activities to raise attainment and aspirations, support the application and transition of pupils into Higher Education, as well as generally assist with the student recruitment activities of the conservatoire.
Successful applicants would ideally have experience in widening participation and a solid understanding of underrepresented groups in higher education, including the barriers they face. They should also be confident in working with a wide range of stakeholders, including schools and colleges. An awareness of the music or performing arts industries would also be desirable.
